Mumbai: Hexaware Technologies (NSE: HEXT), a global provider of IT services and solutions, has announced the appointment of Amit Vij as its Chief Private Markets Officer.
In his new role, Amit Vij will spearhead Hexaware’s engagement across the global Private Markets ecosystem, strengthening strategic partnerships and driving business growth.
As Chief Private Markets Officer, Amit Vij will lead Hexaware’s initiatives across Private Equity, Infrastructure, Private Debt, Real Estate, Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWFs), Distressed Debt funds, and their portfolio companies.
His mandate includes shaping strategy, accelerating value creation, and expanding Hexaware’s footprint across private markets globally.

Amit Vij to Drive Hexaware’s Private Markets Engagement
Amit Vij brings over two decades of experience advising private markets investors and portfolio leadership teams on value creation initiatives.
He has been recognised among the Top 25 Private Equity Consultants and Leaders for 2025 and is known for working closely with boards and C-suite executives to align strategic priorities with operational execution, with a strong focus on measurable outcomes and long-term value creation.

Prior to joining Hexaware, Amit Vij held senior leadership roles focused on private markets engagement at leading IT and business process solutions companies.
He was also part of the executive management team of a knowledge process outsourcing venture that was successfully acquired by Moody’s Corp.
Earlier in his career, he worked in investment banking at Deutsche Bank in London, advising private equity and corporate clients on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions.

Amit Vij began his professional journey as a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force, retiring as a Squadron Leader. During his service, he flew multiple operational MiG aircraft, including the MiG-29, MiG-27, MiG-23, and MiG-21. He holds an MBA from INSEAD, France, and is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy.
